I know I'm bad at this blogging business I keep forgetting I have one! Here's a new game: Do's and Don'ts of food! This list could go on for miles, but most of it is common sense so I'll just hit on a few that aren't well known. TO BE CONTINUED
DO'S
-eat vitamin C and folate together (spinach and strawberries!) vit.C intake supports folate absorption!
-add color to EVERY meal, blueberries=breakfast, carrots=lunch, spinach, broccoli=dinner
-drink chocolate milk instead of a protein shake after you exercise-less calories-same benefits! (my favorite is over the moon- add ice cubes and blend it up for dessert!)
DONT'S
-consider potatoes a vegetable-they are a STARCH! They don't count
-drink milk when eating a high protein meal -calcium inhibits iron absorption!
-Don't drink your calories-grow fond of water.
-overdose on protein. find out your RDA and stick to it.
