SO I'm pretty sure most of you already know to avoid red meat-its tasty and all but its very fatty! Turkey and chicken, white meats, have just as much iron and nutrients per ounce but less fat. Stores also now have ground turkey to use in spaghetti sauces and to make burgers with rather than ground beef. HERES THE SECRET: it sounds nit picky, I know, but when you buy ground turkey make sure you buy GROUND TURKEY BREAST not just plain ground turkey. Why? because ground turkey can include other parts of the turkey like skin and dark meat which has a lot of fat in it. So, stick to ground turkey BREAST. Season is up rather than using butter and oils. :) Have a wonderful day everyone!
